My name is Nana.

I was born and raised in Curaçao. I am initially  raised Catholic and raised evangelical after my mother's conversion.

And like most Antilleans  I also always believed that God existed.

When I was seven, my mother, my sister and I moved to the Netherlands.  Three years later my mother was approached on the street by a Christian and from that moment on we started going to Evangelie Gemeente De Deur in Breda. I always liked going to Sunday school.

Going to church was the most natural thing in the world for me.

In the church people always talked about conversion and I thought:
that is not necessary, because I have been going to church all my life, I have never drunk or smoked. I saw myself as a good Christian. But the Bible clearly says, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

I started thinking about it and knew that if I died, Jesus would not accept me because I never accepted Him. Going to church with my mother didn't mean I was saved.

This conviction made me want to make a choice for Jesus. I have accepted Him as Savior and Redeemer of my life. That's the best choice I've made in my life! I have seen many wonders and signs from God.

I experience Jesus' love every day and you can experience it too!
